So, how's the weather?

It has been hot! It is hot and humid, being about 90ish degrees and 90ish percent humidity since I got here (arrived August 2nd, wrote this August 26th). It won't stay this way though, as from what I can figure the weather is about like that in Tampa. Hot and and humid summer, a very nice fall that only lasts a few weeks, and then a light winter, short spring, then summer again. Fall should come in mid-September, then winter in November. Temperatures in the coldest part of winter tend to hang around the low to mid 40s, but there should be a few days here and there when it hits the low 30's. Spring comes in March, which brings on the rainy season in late May, and then it rains until July or so. After the rains, the temperatures go back up for the rest of the summer.

As you've probably noticed, there are mountains around Yukuhashi. The tall ones are around 5000 feet in height, so they do get some snow on them now and then when old man winter comes. I'm looking forward to seeing what things look like then, as they are covered by a very thick mixture of hardwoods (which change color in the fall) and evergreens, palms, and vines (which don't). There's definitely a strange mix of plants here - but this is the weather page, so I'll have to cover that somewhere else.

For the current weather conditions in Yukuhashi, you can look at a Japanese site HERE,
as I'm located between Fukuoka and Oita.

Or, if you're like me and Celcius means very little to you yet,
you can go to the Weather Channel's site HERE.
