And then it was all over...

Well, I got busy, got behind, didn't have time to keep up with the site for the last few months of my stay in Yukuhashi. But I sure had good reasons. First, I started writing a book, which will be coming out in the Spring of 2006. Then there's the travel.

I saw the end of my contract coming, had money in the bank, and decided to make good use of my vacation days and the money they were going to give me to get home with (they buy your ticket or give you the cash). So, I ended up making two trips to Indonesia, and then a trip across Asia and Europe when my time was up in Japan. I started by taking a ferry to Tsing Tao, China, and ended up going thru Mongolia, Russia, Finland, Estonia, Sweden, Morocco, Spain, and France, then flew back to the US from Paris. Now I've been back in the US for a few weeks, and to tell the truth, it has been harder to come back home than it was to go to Japan. There's a lot to miss about the place.
