my Japanese cellphone that's a camera too

(my "keitai" - kay-tie)

The brand new Docomo D505i, for about $115:

- It's a phone of course. A flip open model, with Japanese and English menus.

- It has a small color screen on the outside with a picture you choose, the time, and the date.

- There's a large color screen on the inside with time, date, picture background, etc.

- Mine has a built in 1.2 megapixel CCD digital camera that lets you take pictures when the phone is open or closed.

- It has a 16mb memory card too, to store pictures on.

- There's a built in light you can turn on and use with the camera, but it's bright enough to use as a small flashlight.

- It's still the same size as my "regular" cell at home.

- It has caller ID, and if you take a picture of someone you can link their photo to the caller ID so that their picture shows up on the inside and outside screens when they call.

- I can send and recieve email from another phone or from someone using the internet, and I can get attachments, too.

- I can browse the internet and look at sites on the screens. There are also a few pre-set specific places to browse, like the local weather and train schedule sites.

- There are numerous things I don't use, like a calendar, a planner, etc.

- No antenna to break, but sounds far better than ANY cell I've ever owned.

- Of course there are games.

- I get something like 200 hours of standby time on one battery charge.

- The bad news is that the rates stink. They charge MUCH more for minutes packages than what I had to pay in the US.

I took this with the phone's camera!
