Welcome to the site!

This course is intended to give you an overview of the field of environmental science, which will include 4 basic themes. First we'll cover the basics of the scientific method and critical thinking, with an emphasis on how they apply to environmental issues. Then we'll move into a survey of the study of ecology and the components of and interrelationships within various ecosystems. With those foundations to build on, we'll spend time looking at humankind’s various interactions with the environment, and then wrap up with a survey of our local ecology and various local environmental issues.
As we proceed, use this site to find information and links that will help you with the course.

Please make sure you visit often, especially the announcements section, in order to keep on top of things.
